Ben Davies would be a superb signing, he was the best left back in the league last year if you believe the stats. He is still very young too.

Tottenham chasing £25m Griezmann

Tottenham have been told to up their bid for Real Sociedad's Antoine Griezmann after identifying the France winger as the man to fill Gareth Bale's boots at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have reportedly had one bid, understood to be £15 million, turned down after Socieded insisted the winger would not leave for anything less than his buyout clause of £25m.
Chelsea and Monaco are also said to be monitoring Griezmann's situation and both could offer Champions League football and higher wages than Tottenham, which would likely trump the player's good relationship with Spurs goalkeeper and France captain Hugo Lloris.
Tiago's Chelsea return is off

Tiago Mendes' return to Chelsea is off after the Portuguese midfielder re-signed with Spanish champions Atletico Madrid for another two years.
The 33-year-old, who played for Chelsea under compatriot Jose Mourinho in the 2004-05 season, became a free agent in June and was reportedly prepared to move back to Stamford Bridge despite listening to other offers from around the world.
However, Tiago has committed to staying at Atletico, signing a new deal and flying out to their pre-season training camp in Segovia, north of Madrid.
Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "The club offered me the chance to renew my contract. I felt proud because we had had an incredible season, but I had thought it was the right time for the cycle to come to an end. " "I have been offered the chance to play in various international leagues and have taken some time to evaluate my options during the summer, but my final decision became clearer and Atletico was the only option.''
Griezmann would be a great signing for Spurs! Happy to see Tiago stick with Atletico, they have already lost enough of their team.

Real Madrid sign Monaco's James

Real Madrid have signed World Cup Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez from French league club Monaco.
The 23-year-old Colombia forward has agreed a six-year deal at the Bernabeu.
The reported fee of about 80million euros (£63m) makes Rodriguez the fourth most expensive transfer of all time after Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.
The former Porto forward won the Portuguese league three years in a row before joining Monaco last season, where he scored nine goals in 34 Ligue 1 games.
Monaco vice-chairman Vadim Vasilyev said his club had no plans to sell Rodriguez, but were proud to be part of "one of the most significant transfers in football history".
Vasilyev said: "The time came when the solution of a transfer was considered to be the most beneficial solution for all parties."
Madrid made Ronaldo the world's most expensive player when they signed him for £80m from Manchester United in 2009, and eclipsed that with the £85.3m they paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale last summer.
Rodriguez's signing comes less than a week after they signed German World Cup winner Toni Kroos, who moved from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee.

He was the best player, in my opinion, on redcafe they're claiming Shaw is much better which I fully disagree. Signing Davies for that much is far superior to what they spent of Shaw!

I'm guessing with Spurs signing Vorm that means Lloris will be off?

I'm guessing with Spurs signing Vorm that means Lloris will be off? Lloris just signed a new contract. I just can't understand why a world class keeper like Vorm would want to be a back-up.

David Ospina set to complete £3.2M move
Arsene Wenger has revealed Arsenal are on the verge of signing David Ospina and says the goalkeeper could oust Wojciech Szczesny as No.1 at the club.
Ospina has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal after a string of impressive performances for Colombia during the World Cup and it's expected he will complete his £3.2 million move from Nice imminently.
Liverpool agree Lovren fee
Dejan Lovren's move from Southampton to Liverpool is on the brink of being finalised, sources have confirmed to ESPN.
The Croatia centre-back has been manager Brendan Rodgers' top defensive target this summer.
Arsenal bid for Southampton's Chambers
Arsenal have made a "substantial bid" for Southampton defender Calum Chambers, ESPN sources have confirmed.
Chambers is another rising star to emerge from Southampton's celebrated academy, with the interest in his services from Arsenal being downplayed as "just rumours" by Ronald Koeman following his side's pre-season friendly game against Bournemouth on Friday.

English players are so overpriced, thought Luke Shaw went for far too much.
