Last night I watched 13 Sins, an interesting horror thriller with element of Se7en and Saw. It's all about some sort of sick game show played by the illuminati that involves down on their luck people competing in 13 different challenges to win a vast sum of money that will solve all their problems. As the game goes on the challenges get more difficult and far more dark in their nature. Nothing amazing but a solid film with some interesting ideas, definitely not one for the feint hearted though! |

A couple of nights ago I went to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in 3D and I will cut straight to the point - if you thought the first film was good then you ain't seen nothing yet! Dawn is a simply amazing film that carries the story to a new level and is told brilliantly. I don't think I have ever seen a film that covers so many genres and emotions in one movie, Dawn is moving, action packed, thrilling, emotional, romantic and suspenseful in equal measures. It really does leave no stone unturned and is full of subtle little references that link into to other things too. If you haven't already seen this movie then you really need to. |
