This afternoon saw one of the most exciting F1 races of the 2014 season so far at the Hockenheimring. But the competition to be the most exciting race of this season wasn't exactly a tough one, with most F1 races of the last few years being a procession of the same few manufacturers. This year at least Mercedes have usurped the Red Bull crown, but now it's become follow the Silver Arrow instead of the previous years follow the Bull.
Anyway at least there was some action behind eventual winner Nico Rosberg who romped away from Pole position to sit at the fron the whole race unchallenged. Further down the field saw the other Merc of Hamilton being driven very aggressively to go from 20th to 3rd, and although I'm not Hamiltons biggest fan he drove a hell of an exciting race along the way. Again though you have to ask if a big part of it is the Mercedes package which is so dominant as to win by huge margins, it must make it easier to make up the places.
